Divisional Director of Health and Wellness- New Developments

Position Summary:

This position promotes and integrates the mission and philosophy of Senior Lifestyle Corporation in the support of the Health and Wellness Program. The Regional Director of Health and Wellness (RDHW) ensures the implementation of the Health and Wellness Program points of distinction. The Regional Director is responsible for the support of the day to day operations of the Health and Wellness departments within new development communities, as well as ensuring pre-open health and wellness/regulatory requirements are met. The DDHW is responsible for overseeing compliance with all company policies and procedures and applicable state regulations. In addition to the duties outlined below the DDHW will serve as a champion within the new developments for the Embrace and Be Inspired program philosophies providing support and general guidance as it relates to their implementation and success.

Essential Functions:

  1. Manages talent of Health and Wellness Director Employees in partnership with the community Executive Director or designee.
  2. Promotes the company’s Health and Wellness philosophy in all aspects of his/her role for residents, families and staff. Including daily support of Health and Wellness operations within the community. Organizes and develops onboarding, first thirty days training, and ongoing health and wellness team development.
  3. Leads high quality innovative programs within the Health and Wellness departments of the new development communities.
  4. Implements and monitors programs and processes to promote excellence in health and wellness while maintaining a high level of resident/family/staff satisfaction in a fiscally responsible manner.
  5. Maintains current knowledge of Health and Wellness topic including Alzheimer’s/dementia. Provides education, training, and hands on support to community staff.
  6. Ensures community compliance with all state regulatory requirements through various audit measures and onsite visits/compliance reviews; responsible for keeping current on all applicable state regulations
  7. Coordinates all tasks related to health and wellness/regulatory compliance throughout the pre-open and licensure process.
  8. Promotes positive team collaboration between health and wellness, sales and operations in supporting community occupancy growth.
  9. Travels up to 80% of the time.
  10. Provides input into setting a budget and stays within a budget.
  11. Performs additional tasks as assigned.


Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 3-5 years of experience working within a seniors housing or long term care environment, preferably with multi-site management responsibility
  • RN/BSN preferred
